IMAGINARY BEINGS

This workshop proposes the creation of imaginary beings using different materials. By what mechanisms do imaginary beings come to life? Can the encounter between materials, images and people awaken affections? This workshop proposes the creation of imaginary beings using different materials, having as one of the starting points the book Seres Imaginários by Jorge Luis Borges. By what mechanisms do imaginary beings come to life? Can the encounter between materials, images and people awaken affections? The individual and collective experiences generated in this workshop will be recorded through writing or drawing, pointing to future developments of creation according to the interest of each participant”.

TOOLS FOR SCRATCHING

The word writing originates from the Latin term "escribere", which, in turn, means to scratch: to make incisions, strokes, lines on a surface, to mark it. In short, to leave traces of movement and desire. On the other hand, a blank page can be a huge challenge for those who create: where to start? What's the correct way? What result do we want to have? This workshop proposes to lose the fear and restriction of the blank page in a free way, but which, by no means, is easy or simple: through the absurd. Participants will be able to choose instruments already prepared for the activity, or build their own instruments to draw, and face different shapes and dimensions for the exercise - be it for the drawing or for the text. Scratching with other parts of the body, or on challenging surfaces, or even in dimensions that are not obvious are part of the experimentation.

THE TEMPERA AND THE LANDSCAPE

Starting from an axis on the relationship between places and affections, we will work in a playful way on the construction of landscapes using the tempera technique, egg painting. We will investigate the manufacture of our own ink and discover the landscapes that exist within us.

DIGITAL VERSION

Ruana Negri presents her Cabinet of Curious Creations in two videos. In video 1, she proposes an exercise in observing the nature around us and teaches us how to dry plants using two techniques: in the first, using a press that is super easy to make, and in the second, using books! In video 2, the artist will show how to make curious creatures from leaves, flowers and branches! Follow! Oh, and for the kids, here's a tip: always ask for adult supervision! The Curious Creations Cabinet is part of FestA! and Sesc Ipiranga presented a series of activities based on the Botanical Immersion theme.
