INTRODUCTION

Since 2010, she investigates the appropriation, displacement and resignification of elements of nature and everyday objects; Problematizes Science and the Imaginary; She mainly uses the language of drawing, photography and reproduction processes; Hers multi-artistic poetics consists of dreamlike beings, schemes, collections and collections, records, memories and affections. Variations that unite in a kind of Cabinet of Curiosities.

ABOUT THE POETICS

Nature and Its Elements

In my work, the presence of nature is vigorously perceived. The influence of textures, colors, shapes and personalities, found in the pure environment in which the wild or manipulated environment is seen, where nature remains domesticated in the midst of cities. Influences caused by direct contact or through information acquired in books about various branches of biology. The interest in the Natural Universe as an artistic practice - of life, is nostalgic. At the end of 2009, a meeting of a marine coral in "Prainha" - in Peruíbe / São Paulo Coast, was a moment that triggered a change of look and thought toward the Sea. The restlessness as the mysteries of its depth began to unleash the first fluid works, loaded with salty memories and which flowed into a sea of ​​possibilities, among beings and dream worlds, involved in the theme of the shells, as well as their physical structure, their function and their symbolic character.

 

The sea water was connecting with the earth, and meanwhile the walk I also came across with the elements air and fire. Leaves, flowers, dry roots, the bird world, winged seeds, flying insects, their fragments of wings and the fire, find themselves presents, involved in the way of seeing and perceiving the life. New perceptions and relations arise about the construction of the image (or object) and its matter, the refinement of the intuition and the development of the view about world and its presence in the moment of the artistic doing, close to hand, as a tool of translation of wills, desires and almost secrets, that are found in thoughts. Thereby, part of nature shows itself and embraces me, water, earth, air and fire, saw like: unities, sets, mixtures, arisings and returns, follow in an intuitive and tangled way in my poetic.

 

 

The Pseudoscience and the Collectionist Inclination

The play of being pseudo-scientist becomes recurrent, the unconcern if the scientific methods have its proof of value, open up greater possibilities for discoveries. I am inspired by the way in which the areas of the sciences and the arts, mysticism and the popular, whose perception of individuals are governed a priori by the senses, were not unified by reason alone. I problematize science with the dream-truth. I ask questions about nature, meeting and gathering elements / objects, I create some evidence, I think about hypotheses, I make tests without pretending to create an absolute truth, only possibilities for reflections and the awakening of looks, record and share some results. It becomes concrete inventive choices, imagination and reason are united, subjects and objects, fields that have been separated over the years in the cultural universe of society and daily life of the contemporary population. Over time, I acquired a collectionist personality, I use the appropriation and displacement of elements of nature and everyday objects, with the purpose of reinventing, thinking about new possibilities of meanings, from existing things. Exotic, common, new and old objects are found and stored in my atelier, just as "gifts" from family and friends also correspond to a number of objects that are part of my private collection, involving: Natural Elements, Everyday Objects, Crafts and Musical instruments.

 

 

The Miniatures and The Fantastic

The miniatures are the ones that charm, daydreams of those born utopians. Where the observation transpasses the true way of looking, in which exists the space and the time of digesting the “finding” surprise. I pursue to disengage mini worlds, these ones that are hiding in “the city time”, oneiric forms that remain in the betweens of the capital search for the meeting of sharp eyes, firms to fight against the aggressiveness in the world and in the current time. It also aims to invert the greatness perspective, and activate the most profound values. Spaces-refuges are created, to immersion in questions and situations that give us breath, present in the contemporary world that so wears us out. When there are doubts, the mystery and the voids, the fantasy starts to sprout, it can become real, in the intimacy of the one who believes. It aspires to illustrate the existence of irrational imaginative aspects as part of our reality. It creates images and objects, but also can be a creator of worlds and narratives. About a variety of beings is also set a bestiary, connected to the world we live in, with the purpose of questioning it or affirming it, incorporating as well social and political aspects. 

 

Involvements and its Cabinet of Curiosities

My poetics is surrounded by dreamlike beings, schemes, collects and collections, records, (meta) landscapes, memories, affections, delicacies and stories. There is life, death, the particular, the secret, the dark and the details.The various supports and techniques that I use, such as: drawing, reproduction processes, appropriation and displacement of objects and elements of nature, photography, sewing, among others. When viewed in a panoramic way, they can be recognized in my multi-artistic poetics as a link. Amid various possibilities of dialogues, a kind of Cabinet of Curiosities appears. Composed of a collection of multiple objects / fragments found and subjective creations from their explorations, expeditions and accidents.
